Inspired by the same Mary Blair art as our "Cats" sweater for humans and using the same washable knit fabric blend of 94% polyester and 6% spandex — these delightful, art-filled dog sweaters are meant to fit all dogs from 8 to 50 pounds. Sizes can be adapted to your dog’s fashion “style” — ie a larger size for a “slouchier” look or the suggested size for a sleeker or more fitted look. History Behind the Art
Adapted from a 1950’s ad for Meadow Gold Dairy products. This ad campaign spanned several years, making the Mary Blair created “Meadow Gold Girl” a popular and familiar mid-century character.
Fun fact: Mary had a large orange striped cat named “Ferrari” who likely served as her “model”.
